Probably viral: By far the most common cause of such symptoms is a virus infection, usually not serious. But contact your doctor if any fever (especially over 101F), confusion, abnormal sleepiness, or if the headache becomes severe. Also if you find you prefer a dark room because light hurts your eyes.
