No: It depends on the reason for taking magnesium citrate, if it is for constipation it could be habbit forming, if you are taking it for magnesium supplementation, there are other forms of magnesium that you could take such as magnesium glycinate, you should follow up with your primary care provider for further evaluation, I hope this helps
