Heavy periods ?: Heavy bleeding may occur b/c of failure to ovulate regularly at age 39, with increased estrogen produced by overstimulated ovaries and consequent heavy bleeding from breakdown of uterine lining. This sort of bleeding is also common with enlarged fibroid tumors in the uterus. See your gyn physician , or get a referral for one to find out the cause.
