Heat and rest: Dysmenorrhea is challenging to manage. Once it starts, applying heat (like warm bath or heating pad) can help. Also continue anti-inflammatories especially naproxen aka Advil/ Motrin every 6 hours as directed- they work much better if started before or right when the pain starts. Exercise especially cardio, and eat a low fat diet (omega-3 can worsen cramping, whereas fish oil aka omega 6, help).
