Maybe.: It is possible that the brown discharge is old blood and just spotting as your period ends. It is hard to say if this is normal without more history and an exam. As far as the back pain goes, some people have pain with periods which can include back pain - even shooting pain down their legs. Again, talk to your doctor about your symptoms so they can advise you appropriately.
