Is it true that if you diabetic you have to take meds for cholesterol as well. even if your cholesterol levels are normal or slightly above 5?

Yes: It also depends onthe ratio of good to bad.The AMERICAN diabetic Association and endocrine recommend all diabetics be on a statin-cholesterol meds no matter what the LDL cholesterol due to being at a higher risk for heart attacks and strokes.
