A member asked:

Is it possible to have schizophrenia if one experiences non-bizarre delusions, but no hallucinations, hearing voices or bizarre delusions?

Complicated, but yes: If someone has non-bizarre delusions and disorganized speech, grossly disorganized or catatonic behavior, or flat affect, alogia, or avolition, schizophrenia may be present. But, this might be the case only if there is significant disturbance in important areas of functioning in day-to-day life (e.g., work, school, relationships, self-care). A professional evaluation can help clarify this.
