BMI "ideal" ?: A BMI of 18.5 is close to ideal, but has little to do with regular menstrual cycles and fertility. The BMI presents problems when too high in terms of potentially higher blood pressure, difficult delivery if done surgically, etc.. Regular menses and fertility have more to do with hormone production, ovulation and open Fallopian tubes.
