Localized irritation: A person with asthma has a greater tendency toward symptoms continuously. If there is a localized irritation from a procedure or inflammation it could/would make that localized area more likely to spasm. Resolution would require the areas irritation or inflammation to calm down. Treatment would be directed at reducing the irritation/inflammation.
