A member asked:

What is the usual incubation period for pinkeye?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Pink eye is a over used term. If the eyes are red or pink it does not necessarily mean you have conjunctivitis . Bacterial and viral conjunctivitis is a very self limited process. Symptoms improve with treatment but may many times be self limited resolving in 2 weeks . The incubation for conjunctivitis is 12-14 days.
