A member asked:

Good day. with regards to a yeast infection, what medication would you recommend as an alternative to flucanozole? without a prescription

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Clotrimazole: Fluconazole is often used since it has a good effect after taking 1 or 2 doses. Instead of this, there are various topical formations of azole compounds such as clotrimazole, other names such as miconazole. "lotrimin", "monistat" are some of the over the counter names which you can pick up for other use (creams) or intravaginally (suppositories, cream, etc). Needs workup if occurring freq.
