A member asked:

Having chest pains, i'm asthmatic what could be the cause?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Doctor can evaluate: Chest tightness, chest pain, or shortness of breath can be due to minor problems or very serious ones. An Emergency Room doctor can check to see what might be going on. Sometimes, tests and chest x-rays will be done. Possible causes include rib or cartilage pain, myocarditis, heart attack, partially collapsed lung, asthma flare-up, acid reflux, etc... One should not wait around with such symptoms.
