Finger pain: If it's not related to a recent injury, the problem may be a tendonitis of a finger joint with pain radiating toward the wrist and arm. Finger motions would aggravate the discomfort and the joint area may be tender. A trial of anti-inflammatory medication like ibuprofen for a week may help. If not, see your physician.
