Unlikely: Crestor, other meds should NOT be expected to clear plaque. Goal is to slow the gradual, lifelong process of hardening of the arteries/plaque growth. No med clears atherosclerosis. In rare cases plaques shrink if the cholesterol is driven to very, very, very low levels. Be realistic. Our vessels age & develop plaque. Not smoking, treatment of cholesterol, BP, diabetes, etc help slow the process.
