I have been inmenopause for 10yrs and have tested hormone levels and my doctor said i don't need to use contraceptives. is that true? i am 51yrs old

Menopause: If your fsh and lh remain high and your estrogen and progesterone levels are low, you can no longer ovulate and cannot conceive. Menopause,usually going a year without a period, can occur between ages of 40 and 55 with 51 the average.
