Hot ? Yellow ?: You can assess the kids temperature with a thermometer. Saying they are hot does not provide reliable information one way or the other. Urine is expected to be yellow with varying intensity. If the kid makes pee at lease every 6-8 hours he is adequately hydrated on his current level of intake.
