Menstrual clots ?: Bleeding at menstruation can occasionally produce blood clots, but taking oral low dose contraceptives should alleviate the heavy bleeding if taken punctually. The bleeding may come from pregnancy as well, so obtain a serum HCG to make certain, as some pregnancies occur outside the uterus (ectopic), and need immediate attention. Clots are unusual with oral bcp's. See your doctor.
