CPD: us usyally related to some real underlying medical problem or issue. Psychosomatic pain, is pain,preciptated by thoughts or emotions.

There may be multiple reasons, like unresolved underlying illness, damaged nerve, or change in brain’s perception of pain, sometimes due to poorly treated acute pain. The term psychosomatic disorder is used when emotional discomfort and distress is expressed in the form of bodily symptoms, even without physical disease.
