?Reference?: You would expect anyone who had rubella in the past or a vaccine to be IgG positive forever. IgM results are determined by the reference standard by which it is reported/compared. A level of .99 is negative (<20) when viewed in commonly reported AU/ml (absorbance units per milliliter). It would not suggest a recent infection that would harm the fetus or trigger loss.
