Multiple conditions: Since you have the chronic condition of hypertension, I would suggest that you see your physician. If you have a home blood pressure cuff, monitor your blood pressure carefully and keep a log. For your flu symptoms, over the counter products used in moderation usually are fine, but your BP should be checked. Uncomplicated flu like symptoms usually improve in one to two weeks.

It depends: I would not recommend it if you have high blood pressure. Per the Med Lemon website: "Caution is required in patients with a history of hypertension and/or heart failure as fluid retention and oedema have been reported in association with aspirin therapy." This is due to the combination of aspirin and caffeine. Ask your Dr what would be best. Acetaminophen will not affect your hypertension.
