Many possibilities: Most people get a headache at some time, such as from colds, infections, lack of sleep, too much driving, long hours on the computer, stress at work, etc... Over-the-counter options include Tylenol (acetaminophen), Motrin or Advil, Aleve, Excedrin Migraine, and their generic brands. A bad or increasing headache, recurrent headache, weird headache or with other worrisome symptoms should be checked.

Almost everybody: It is a rare individual who does not suffer from headaches sometimes. Headaches can be triggered by many events such as stress, lack of sleep etc. If they occurs less than a couple of times a month and easily controlled with Tylenol or aspirin, just live with it.

Agree with Dr. K: Regular exercise, healthy diet, proper hydration and regular sleeping hours will help. Have a healthy diet, exercise 30 minutes/day, drink plenty of water, have safe sex, no tobacco alcohol weed or street drugs. For nutrition: http://www.choosemyplate.gov/.

Headaches: There are many types of headache. Please see your doctor to diagnose what type you have. Ask about natural and non-invasive treatments such as biofeedback and/or clinical hypnosis (www.asch.net) if appropriate. Peace and good health.
