See...Allergist...: 34 y/o says, I am chronically congested. Nothing works. What can I do? Best to see PCP or Allergist for Comprehensive Evaluation, History, Physical and appropriate labs. Meanwhile, best to avoid environmental conditions that aggravate the congestion.

See Primary: Need more info,What tried.If allergies most effective will be nasal steroids,then antihistamines the singular (Montelukast )Sometimes Gerd can aggravate congestion .if sinusitis may need antibiotics,if no help may need Allergist and or Ent If does not resolve as well as CT sinuses.

Proper evaluation: Nasal congestion can be caused by anatomic abnormalities or some disease ( like allergy, sinusitis, polyps or rarely cancer).It is best ti be seen by a physician who is well versed in treating nasal problems and can offer comprehensive evaluation. One may need skin testing for allergies, CT scan to evaluate for structural problems. A variety of medicine and treatments available for treatment
