Not usually: HPV doesn't usually cause urethritis. It usually does not cause symptoms at all in males; if it does, there are often warts visible that may or may not cause mild pain or itching. However, other STDs can cause urethritis, such as ghonorrhea or chlamydia, so if you are experiencing pain or discharge from your urethra, I would recommend getting tested for STDs.
