A member asked:

Saw gp about palpitations that i get a couple times a day or last for hours, she said i just feel the beats more than others but im scared its more.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Palpitations: I feel that anyone who complains of palpitations should have an evaluation consisting of a heart examination, EKG and an outpatient Holter Monitor test for 24-48 hours during which you note the times you experience palpitations. If any abnormalities are detected, consultation with a cardiologist is warranted. If no abnormal heart rhythms are seen when you note palpitations, you will be reassured
