Flu virus : The flu virus can spread to others on hard up to 24 hours on the hands it is less likely to spread after 10 minutes. Normal laundry washing will reduce the risk of germs being transmitted. To prevent spreading the flu virus filled certain laundry should be washed at 60C/140 F with a bleach-based product. For example, towels, health care uniforms, items with bodily fluids.
