Brief fever episode: Brief febrile episodes are fairly common in infants and children, especially in 12-36 months age group. Viral illnesses are most often the culprit. In case his fever is associated with significant change in his general well-being, e.g., feeding, activity, or alertness, seeking medical attention would be prudent.

Fever: Fever usually represents the immune system doing its job. If your child is otherwise, well, keep a diary of the fevers, measured temperature, and any symptoms to discuss with your pediatrician.
