Yes: That is a large caloric intake and in general a large carbohydrate load. In addition you might get brain freeze.

You know the answer: Some basic facts. Standard ice cream is 46% poor quality fat, 47% rapidly metabolized carbohydrate & 7% protein. A 1/2 gallon tube would contain 2136 calories or about the recommended daily caloric intake for an adult female. The poor quality fats along with the rapidly metabolized carbs make this a poor dietary choice for anyone. You likely already know that.
