Not recommended: Not recommended. Studies seem to show that marijuana can start a person's schizophrenia sooner than if he did not use weed. Younger people (with neurotransmitters and receptors not fully developed), especially if he has a family history of psychiatric symptoms, should ask about his family history and avoid using weed or other drugs that might have a similar effect on the brain.
