I would really like to take something for my cystic acne but am currently on mood stabilizers. im desperate. i have tried oral contraceptives. ?

Cystic acne: If your trial of oral contraceptives did not relieve the extent of your dermatologic condition, it may have been secondary to taking the active pills without strict punctuality. Additionally, in cases as described, it is OK to take several packs of oral bcp's in a row without using the placebo (sugar pills). Taking them within the hour of the previous day's active pill also works better.
