Early period ?: An "early period" may occur because of early ovulation at age 30 and on, when more follicle stimulating hormone is produced to cause ovulation. If ovulation occurred by day 10, for example, you would menstruate at approximately day 24. If the period continues, and any pelvic pain arises, get a serum HCG test to be certain about pregnancy.
