Tooth chipped: A very small tooth chip that doesn't impact the structure or underlying dentin of a tooth may be fine, but in general it's best to have it evaluated by your dentist as many dental problems can be prevetepror more easily treated when found early. Feel better soon!

Chipped tooth: Best to have it evaluated by Dentist. If there are fracture lines radiating out from chip, if edge is sharp and irritating to tongue, if chip has caused exposure of underlying dentin, the chip should be fixed. If chip has caused thinning of enamel expect further chipping over time. Please see Dentist for evaluation and discussion of options.
