What does it mean when your liver is enlarged.?

Hepatomegaly: You have hepatomegaly when your liver is enlarged. The most common cause of hepatomegaly is hepatic steatosis or a "fatty liver". I recommend you discuss these findings with the physician who ordered the imaging study as follow up blood work is usually advised in order to screen for common causes of liver disease.
