MAV: Migraine Associated Vertigo is a type of migraine that affects the vestibular system which uses proprioceptors (spatial location sensors) thru-out the body for orientation. Any disruption causes imbalance, often a spinning sensation, and nausea. This type of migraine may or may not come with a headache. Causes of Migraines are not clear but usually involve the same CNS site in each individual
