A member asked:

I just found out that i am pregnant. i have been diagnosed with antiphospholippid syndrome. i had 4 miscarriages. should i see rheumatologist or gynecologist?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Miscarriage x4: Anti-phospholipid syndrome should be followed in pregnancy by an obstetric maternal fetal medicine (MFM) board certified specialist. Ask your gyn provider to refer you to a university academic department of OB/GYN, and they will have a MFM physician to whom to refer you. You will need constant monitoring and treatment with anti-coagulation medications.
