Knee clicks: Knee clicking is caused by rubbing between bones and tendons or internal problems with cartilage. Soreness and clicks require a good physical examination to determine the diagnosis. My experience knee clicks are commonly caused by rubbing the knee cap (patella) on the lower leg bone (tibia). Which can be often be resolved by proper stretching and strengthening the legs.
