Rehydrate as needed: Besides taking over the counter pills, I assume. Depending on how long you have had the cough and mild fever you may need either an antibiotic or continued use of over the counter medications. Normally a flu like illness will peak at day 3-4 and then start getting better. Cough may last 6 weeks but fevers should resolve. Otherwise you may have a bacterial illness that requires and antibiotic.
