The goal is to: prevent siezures in the first place by making sure medications for seizures are therapeutic. Therefore, a neurologist should see her frequently to ensure this is achieved. The neurologist will also look into the respiratory part of the seizure to determine if there is central apnea (or cessation of breathing). EEG should be done regularly.
