Ovulation is frequently affected by progestin forms of contraception, so delays in menstruation are common. Obtain a serum HCG test in two weeks to be certain about pregnancy.

Not "one week": The way we count weeks of pregnancy is from the beginning of the last menstrual period. Because conception happens after ovulation, usually at mid-cycle, that means by the time conception occurs, a woman is already counted as 2 weeks pregnant. That also means that from 0 to ~2 weeks of pregnancy, nothing has happened at all. Complicated, right?
