Stress/DVT/PE: It can. The hypothalamic pituitary adrenal (HPA) axis is our central stress response system. The HPA axis is a dynamic intertwining of the central nervous system and endocrine system. Response to stressors, cortisol (catecholamines, etc) are released & may raise blood clot risk (+genetics) Sedentary folks increase risk of deep venous thrombosis (DVT) which can result in PE. Moving about can help-
