My period started 6 days early this month. days 1 and 2 were heavy/moderate bleeding and now day 3 there's only light spotting. why is this?

Early period ?: Bleeding at an unexpected time should be evaluated by your gyn physician. A period "6 days early" may just occur because you ovulated 14 days previously. If the spotting continues, obtain a serum HCG test to be certain about pregnancy. If positive, see your gyn physician for an exam.
