A member asked:

Had raw micro greens (sprouts) served on top of food im pregnant. picked them off and ate food underneath. could i still get salmonella listeria?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Salmonella: Salmonella and other bacterial infections if present on the greens can transmit the bacteria to the food below by simply touching, so removing the greens will not stop the chance of infection if you consume the food in contact with infected greens.
