Used to be: Traditionally CT scan was superior to MR for imaging the nidus (central focus) of Osteoid Osteoma, a benign bone tumor that is seen mostly in males from from their teens thru their twenties but recently using different contrast materials and techniques MRI scanning has proven to be as good or better at imaging these lesions.
