A member asked:

How long does it take for my c-section wound to fully heal and how many months after c-section can i start trying for another baby?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

C/section healing: C/section wounds usually take 4 to 6 weeks to heal on the surface without infection. Infection or poor surgical wound anastomosis can take far longer to heal. The uterine incision(which can't be seen) needs a post op OB MD exam to determine whether it is completely healed or not. Your OB MD can tell you when it is safe to conceive again after the healing process is completed.
