Basic biology: You swallow air when you eat. It only leaves your body as a burp or gas after passing all the way through your digestive tract. The stomach is a muscular organ that squeezes the air/food to mix it. That mechanical action on air/fluid can produce noise. Bubbles of air move around during this process.
