How to treat ingrown hairs and red bumps on face from shaving?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Shaving: It has been shown that shaving with electric razors is less injurious to facial skin than sharp edges razors. Gillette has good tips for shaving without causing razor burns and nicks if you use razor blades. Shaving too close can cause ingrown hairs and facial bumps. Use a facial scrub like St.Ive's Apricot Scrub to remove dead skin and bring out ingrown hairs.
