UTI: The cause of blood in urine is really the same in both women and men-except for a couple of differences- 1. In woman- sometimes, you can have contamination from menstrual blood- if you don't use the proper way to collect your urine. 2. Due to anatomy different in male/female- urinary tract infection is more common in women than men. Blood in urine can be caused by infection, inflammation, stone etc.
