Flagyl side effects: Flagyl (metronidazole) is well known to produce intense nausea in any person who consumes any form of alcohol, even that in a simple liquid cold medicine. If you have a reaction to this med, not part of this alcohol interaction, localized application of metrogel may reduce the bodies absorption/exposure enough to avoid the reaction. Otherwise another treatment would be needed.
