Miscarriage: Sometimes bleeding while pregnant is not due to a "miscarriage" of a pregnancy inside the uterus, but is because the pregnancy is outside the uterus (tubal ectopic). Get an immediate serum HCG test to make sure you are not still pregnant, as an ectopic pregnancy needs immediate attention. Even if the pregnancy was intrauterine, fragments of placenta may still be there. See your OB physician.
