"7 wks pregnant": At seven weeks of pregnancy, sometimes the progesterone decreases in the ovary (corpus luteum) and bleeding can occur. Soon the placenta will produce sufficient progesterone and replace the ovary as a source, but see you OB physician for oral progesterone to support the pregnancy until week 11 or 12, or a miscarriage may occur.
