Luvox vs Luvox CR: The 2 meds are reported to have the same efficacy. Luvox is available in 25, 50 & 100 mg tablet strengths. Luvox CR comes as 100 & 150 mg capsules. The big advantage is that Luvox CR can be given as a single dose per day whereas, immediate-release Luvox should be given in divided doses for over 100 mg/day. If is often preferable for med to be released in a controlled manner rather than spikes
